Well, that was dumb.
According to the Associated Press: “The Seattle Fire Department says a man using a spray paint can and a lighter to try and kill a spider in a wall started a West Seattle fire that caused $60,000 worth of damage.”
The good news is no injuries were reported, and the Red Cross is providing temporary shelter to the adult male and adult female impacted by the blaze.
The bad news is the adult male will now always be known as the guy who set the house on fire trying to kill a spider with spray paint and a lighter.
There’s a valuable lesson here for all of us.
