The Seahakws are looking for any edge they can get next Sunday afternoon over their hated rival. The team, no doubt wanting to make sure the mighty lungs of the 12th Man are not diluted by cheering Niners fans, have decided to limit ticket sales to six states and Canada. And guess which state didn’t make the cut? Yep, California.
Only credit cards with addresses from Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii will be allowed to buy tickets to Sunday’s epic showdown at CenturyLink Field.
San Francisco fans travel well, and they travel in large numbers, much like Seattle fans do — at least this year. The 49ers play-by-play announcer Ted Robinson said there were droves of 49ers rooters in Charlotte, N.C., for the the team’s 23-10 victory yesterday.
The restriction means 49ers fans will have to go to the secondary market.
