That was fast.
Single game tickets to the Seahawks playoff opener, in the Divisional round on Saturday, Jan. 11, went on sale this morning at 10 a.m. Less than 27 minutes later, the ball club’s Twitter account announced they were gone. But based on the experiences of those trying to secure tickets – including at least one person in this office – they probably went much, much faster than that.
“I had at least 4 friends doing the 10 AM on the dot thing, no dice,” one of my Twitter friends responded when asked about missing out on tickets.
Through Ticketmaster, and after taxes and fees, the playoff tickets ranged from nearly $89 to $462. Of course, those willing to drop some serious coin can still find a way into CenturyLink for the game. On StubHub.com, standing room only tickets are going for as low as $285, while lower level sideline tickets are available for nearly $1,500. Meanwhile, tickets in the “Charter 137” section are being offered for a cool $11,000.
The big question this morning: Did anyone out there manage to buy tickets today?
