Sometimes God, a huge football fan, gets bored during the off-season. Fortunately, he has a former San Diego State running back to take under his wing.

Seems Adam Muema up and quit the NFL Scouting Combine on Sunday without working out. Yep, didn’t even towel off. Muema said he was “following God,” who told him, basically, “Don’t sweat it Adam old boy, you’ll still get to play for the Seattle Seahawks.”

“Can’t go wrong with God,” the 21-year-old Muema told the San Diego Union-Tribune.

All the other running backs, the ones without God as their co-pilot, competed in afternoon drills at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. But Muema, the fourth leading rusher in Aztecs history, did not participate.

He said playing for Seattle is his “dream,” Muema said, and that all the other NFL teams are aware of that.

Muema, 21, said his immediate plans are undecided.

“(God) told me to sit down, be quiet, and enjoy the peace,” he said.

Muema said he communicates with God through numbers.

Writes the Union-Tribune: “His deep religious convictions are no secret to those close to him, the I. The beliefs are evident on social media, where he often quotes scripture on his Twitter account. His Facebook and Instagram accounts include several links to a person titled “Lord Ray-el,” who claims online to be the second coming of Christ.

Muema said Lord Ray-el means “the word of God.”

And, as Muema knows well, God is the ultimate 12th Man.
