Shortly after noon today, New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu called our own mayor in order to make the proverbial friendly wager on Saturday’s playoff game between the Seahawks and Saints.

And it sure looks like Ed Murray stands to be the big winner if our boys in blue and green are victorious.

If the Saints lose – and they are 8-point underdogs – Murray will be wolfing down King Cake and seafood from the Big Easy, compliments of Landrieu. If Seattle goes down, all Murray has to do is send him some Top Pot donuts.

Good bet, Ed, real good bet.
