Raffaele Sollecito has officially beat his ex-girlfriend Amanda Knox to the book-deal money trough. He reportedly inked a contract with Seattle-based Martin Literary Management for a book due out at an unknown date. Here are 10 questions I hope he finally answers. 1. Why did you and Amanda turn your cell phones off the night of the murder? 2. You’ve said you didn’t keep in touch with Amanda while you were in prison and afterward. Why not?3. In many ways the evidence against you was much weaker than the evidence against Amanda (you didn’t falsely accuse anyone, your blood wasn’t found at the scene, your story was consistent, you didn’t act super weird, etc?). How much of an effect do you think Amanda’s antics had on your conviction?4. On Nov. 5, 2007 you and Amanda both went to the police station, even though only you were called there. Why did you both go?5. The prosecutors vilified Amanda heavily, calling her a “she-devil”, “evil incarnate” and other colorful terms; yet they hardly attacked your character at all during the trial. Why do you think that was?6. If given the choice, would you have rather been tried in the United States or Italy for the crime?7. Far fewer people knew or cared about your story than they did Amanda’s. How did that make you feel?8. What attracted you to Amanda, romantically? 9. What was your most memorable encounter with prosecutor Giuliano Mignini?10. Finally, what exactly do you think happened the night of Nov. 1, 2007 when Meredith Kercher was killed?Follow The Daily Weekly on Facebook and Twitter.
