Lauded local chef Ethan Stowell is teaming up with Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament, Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate and other celebs at the All-Star Softball Classic for Homeless Youth at Safeco Field tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. Stowell and crew are playing against a team that includes author Sherman Alexie and NBA all-star Detlef Schrempf. $10 tickets for the United Way of King County fundraiser are up for grabs online or at Safeco on game day.

In other news, Stumbling Goat Bistro on Phinney Ridge is hosting a fundraising dinner in support of Yes on 522, the initiative to label genetically engineered foods. Although the date is TBD the menu is set, with dinner featuring Neah Bay salmon, house-made gnocchi and Beefalo Ranch tartar. Tickets for the event at 6722 Greenwood Ave. N are available for $175.
