Kerry Park is a place that will make you proud you call Seattle home. It’s the ideal green chunk of landscape from which to gaze upon the city’s shimmering skyline and watch ferries skitter across Elliott Bay—and, yes, there are days, perched here on the south side of Queen Anne Hill, when the silvery-white Mt. Rainier beckons. And at night, there are few better places to watch the Emerald City come twinkling to life. Grab a bench, bring a sandwich, and smile at the tourists pouring off tour buses to take postcard-perfect pictures . . . pictures that will remind them that once upon a time they stood tall above Seattle and filled their lungs with fresh Northwest air.
