If you’ve lived in Washington for any substantial amount of time, you’ve probably noticed it can be a strange yet interesting place to call home.

And if you’ve been on the Internet over the last few years, you’ve probably noticed you can’t go more than a few minutes without being distracted by some new clickbait-y list.

If you couldn’t tell yet, Washington and a list are about to be combined once again for your enjoyment.

Over at the real-estate website Movoto.com – which seems to specialize in these sorts of endeavors – they’ve compiled 50 different “facts” about Washington that you may or may not know. (Editor’s note: No, we didn’t verify any of them.)

Some of Movoto’s Washington facts are statistical, if that’s your thing:

“6. Washington exports 70 percent of the nation’s hops, helping happy hours everywhere.”

Some are are semi-surprising:

“23. Seattle, a city known for being overcast much of the year, leads the nation in sunglasses sales.”

“35. Seattle gets a bad rap for being a rainy city but it actually receives less rainfall than Atlanta, New Orleans, and New York.”

Some should have went out of style awhile ago:

“45. The Wave was started by University of Washington Husky fans.”

Sorry about that, sports world. We can’t win them all.

But sometimes we do win:

“17. The San Juan Islands are known for having the largest concentration of Bald Eagles in the continental U.S.”

It doesn’t get any more American than that.
