Gaxiola, Bush, Forde. The reputed lover of former Seattle prostitute and Minuteman leader Shawna Forde is now scheduled to join her and Wenatchee white supremacist Jason Bush on Arizona’s death row for the 2009 slayings of a man and his daughter in a robbery-turned-bloodbath. Albert Gaxiola, 44, this week was deemed eligible for execution after he was convicted of aggravated murder in the deaths of Raul Junior Flores, 29, and Brisenia Flores, 9. Gaxiola recruited Forde and Bush to help him rob Flores in the Arizona border town of Arivaca, where Flores and Gaxiola were rival drug smugglers. Forde, the ex-Boeing worker and Everett city council candidate who went on to start a border-watch group called Minutemen American Defense (MAD), had planned to use proceeds from the robbery to expand her group into a Blackwater-styled militia operation, combating drug dealers and illegal immigrants. Considered the robbery ringleader, she was convicted and sentenced to death in March in a Tucson court.Bush, who was fingered as the actual shooter inside the victims’ trailer home, was convicted in April. He is suspected of at least five likely race-related murders and an attempted murder in the past two decades, including the 1997 slayings of a homeless Mexican man in Wenatchee–knifed on the streets–and a teenager from East Wenatchee–shot in the back and head. (The teen was white, but Bush allegedly considered him a “traitor to his race,” according to Chelan County authorities). At an ongoing sentencing hearing, a jury is listening to further testimony from and about Gaxiola, who, convicted of a crime carrying the death-penalty, will try to dissuade the jury from officially imposing it. Both Forde and Bush failed to convince their juries to spare them.Follow The Daily Weekly on Facebook and Twitter.
