All of us bike commuters here at the Weekly felt a surge

All of us bike commuters here at the Weekly felt a surge of excitement and gratitude this afternoon at the sight of a DOT team below our windows painting a sharrow onto Western Avenue. Just look at that thing. Its crisp, elegant design speaks like a Delphic oracle, commanding drivers to yield. Who could possibly mow us down now that the mighty sharrow is here? Thank goodness for the bike lobby, sticking up to the man in order to bring us these critically important amenities. Almost as critical as that bike lane on Stone Way (previously known as one of the easiest, pleasantest northward climbs in Seattle). Thanks guys. This makes all the difference.
