A small army of restaurants just launched or are about to open their doors around Seattle. Here’s a recap: -Li’l Woody’s is inching closer to opening day for its new digs at 2040 NW Market St. in Ballard. The space is triple the size of the original Li’l Woody’s on Capitol Hill and includes a full-service Molly Moon’s scoop shop. Look for the first order of crack (for the uninitiated, that’s fries with a side of shake for dipping) this Monday, June 17.
-Wallingford’s Diggity Dog Hotdog & Sausage Co. is launching another location at 8317 Greenwood Ave. N, Phinneywood reports. Look for doors to open by mid-July.
-If you were wondering how Pioneer Square’s food scene could get any better, here’s your answer: Beloved Capitol Hill Thai spot Little Uncle opened yesterday at 88 Yesler Way in the space formerly occupied by Marcus’ Martini Heaven. Early reports confirm that in addition to stellar noodles, the rhubarb cherry shaved ice is beyond spectacular (and on the menu for the rest of the week.) Hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Friday and may extend until 4 p.m. in the weeks to come. Check Facebook for updates.
-Tom Douglas just opened new establishments inside his Assembly Hall marketplace in Via6 at 2121 6th Ave., including Asian fusion spot TanakaSan and Assembly Hall Juice and Coffee.
-Wallyhood reports that after more than a year of planning Bill the Butcher has softly opened in the former 7-11 space at 3939 Stone Way N. Hours are noon to 7:00 p.m. seven days a week.
