There’s a cool Norwegian folk / rock duo called Fjord Motor Company. It’s Norway via Salem, Oregon – so there’s a local connection – for me at least. The tune is called “Sommer Kommer” from their EP Krakemal. It’s oozing with whimsy even though I don’t speak Norwegian. It seems to be about a cuckoo and you can hear one – at least the kind from a clock.

Can: “Mushroom Head” from Tago Mago. I don’t know how to describe this tune. Just hear it for yourself. It’s a compelling groove, it pulls you in, maybe that’s all that needs to be said!
