The band responsible for the careers of Sera Cahoone, S, Grand Archives and Band of Horses will reunite–if only briefly. Carissa’s Wierd plans to play at least one Seattle-area show to celebrate the reissue of their albums and the release of a greatest hits record by Hardly Art on July 13. Hardly Art also announced today that the out-of-print Ugly but Honest, You Should Be at Home Here and Songs about Leaving will be reissued in July, nearly seven years after the Seattle band broke up. Hardly Art will also release what the label is calling “a retrospective,” but it’s essentially a greatest hits compilation. They’ll Only Miss You When You Leave: Songs 1996-2003 is the impetus for the band’s reunion, just in time for summer concert season. The complete track listing of the new album after the jump.
