Seattle’s Noise for the Needy is looking for bands–the local concert series, now in its 8th year, will as usual take place in June across a variety of venues, big and small, across the city. NFTN won’t announce this year’s beneficiary until another month or so (last year they raised $23,000 for Real Change), but they’re kicking off 2012’s festivities on March 23 at the Sunset Tavern, with a benefit show featuring veteran songwriter Dan Bern, Blacknite Crash, Watch It Sparkle, Michael Jaworski, and more. That’s just one show to start things off, though–NFTN is officially on the lookout for bands to play the June concert series. This year, NFTN has a new booker, Greg Garcia, whom we all know as the highly capable booker at the Tractor Tavern. If you’re interested in playing the festival this year, contact Garcia at booking@noisefortheneedy.org.
