Seattle avant-rap duo Shabazz Palaces is no stranger to the polyrhythmic freaks in Animal Collective—last year Shabazz turned out a dark, bassy remix of “New Town Burnout” off the band’s 2012 LP, Centipede Hz.

Well today, Animal Collective flipped the favor right back with a bonkers remix of “#Cake,” the lead single from Shabazz Palaces’ newest LP Lese Majesty. Calling it the “Premature Deflirt Mix,” Animal Collective zeroes in on… uh… that whole cake aspect of the track, with Panda Bear singing “Do you want to eat it? Do you want to eat the cake? I want it to eat it on a mountain. I want to eat it with my mind. I want to eat it on a Monday.”
