Seacats
, who sound like they have a copy of Weezer’s Blue Album on permanent rotation, headline an evening with some of Seattle’s most creative young indie-pop bands. With Superprojection, Tangerine, Lures. Heartland. 8 p.m. All ages.

New Kids on the Block
It’s not surprising that the “Hangin’ Tough” crew isn’t as popular as it used to be; April 10 saw the single “Remix (I Like The)” peak at #38 on the Adult Pop chart. Adulthood (or by now, middle age) tends to do that to boy bands, but this show is a chance to relive NKOTB’s rat-tails-and-acid-washed-jeans glory days. With 98 Degrees, Boyz II Men. All ages. Tacoma Dome, 2727 E. D St., 272-3663, tacomadome.org. 7:30 p.m. $27.50–$89.50.
Wednesday, July 10
Futurebirds
hail from Athens, Georgia, a town with a well-documented indie-rock pedigree. On second album Baba Yaga, its ramshackle, countrified psych-rock lives up to their city’s reputation. With Diarrhea Planet, Neighbors. Barboza. 8 p.m. $10 adv.
Thursday, July 11
Vibe Warrior
Denver transplant Samuel Glover’s self-produced electro-soul bears few of the hallmarks that “bedroom R&B” typically connotes: it’s smart, cleanly produced, and unabashedly poppy. With Whiting Tennis, Susie Phillipsen. Columbia City Theater. 8 p.m. $6 adv./$8 DOS.
Friday, July 12
Future Bible Heroes
The Magnetic Fields’ Stephin Merritt fronts this group, whose music is more electronic-leaning than his solo material. They’re touring behind Partygoing, the group’s first album since 2002, as well as remastered versions of their first two albums. With Luxury Liners. Tractor Tavern. 9:30 p.m. $15.
Saturday, July 13
Autopsy
Reunited since 2009, these death metal progenitors are touring and releasing music as brutal as in their heyday. With Black Breath, Scolex, Bone Sickness. Neumos. 8 p.m. $18 adv. All ages.
Sunday, July 14
Sean Nelson and Shenandoah Davis
This free show from the local songwriting pair is part of BeatWalk, a Columbia City live-music series now in its 19th year. Columbia City Theater. 7:30 p.m.
