Last year, Teresa Butz was raped and stabbed to death in her South Park home — an attack that might have killed her partner as well if not for Butz’ intervention. In response to her death, Butz’ friends and family, who are quite a musical bunch, came together to record an album called Take You With Me, the proceeds from which will benefit the Voices and Faces Project, a non-profit working to combat and eradicate sexual violence. You can listen to songs from the album on the Angel Band’s website. The CD release show takes place on Sunday, December 5 at the Tractor Tavern. Tickets cost $20.
