Kyle JohnsonSeattle folk-punks the Cave Singers are gearing up for the promotion of their new album, Naomi (March 5), with a pair of extremely small shows in a couple of tucked-away venues in Kitsap County, which is across the other body of water (read: Not the east side), from Seattle. Both shows seat less than 250 people, and are markably smaller than the band’s usual local venue, The Showbox, which holds about 1000.On Friday, Jan. 25, the quartet is playing Bremerton’s Hi-Fidelity Lounge, an 80-seat/standing bar they’ve incinerated before. Tickets are $15 (available at the bar) and the show is at 9 p.m.ish. On Saturday, Jan. 26, the dudes are playing an 8 p.m., $15 show at the Treehouse Cafe on Bainbridge Island. The Treehouse — a 90 to 200 capacity room, depending on the options (seriously) — has become a favorite spot for Seattle bands (Moondoggies, Maldives, etc.) to get an out-of-town show in that’s just a ferry ride away.If you are to have a prayer at seeing either of these shows — and, really, you should — you best act now.
