Kati Von LehmanThe Pica BeatsThe bulk of the bands playing the Georgetown Music Festival perform tomorrow, but there are four bands playing this evening, too: The Pica Beats, Candysound, SAYS and Suntonio Bandanaz. Music starts at 6 p.m. on the Rainier stage (behind Jules Maes Saloon). Here’s a brief synopsis of tonight’s bands:The Pica Beats: Mournful sitar-meets-Mangum pop music that grows in the background and slowly creeps up and over you like vines. Kinda like the Dutchess and the Duke, but a little weirder. Possibly one of Hardly Art’s most underrated bands.Candysound: A fresh-faced duo that placed third in this year’s Sound Off!, Candysound’s managed to nail the quintessential Seattle indie pop sound. Suntonio Bandanaz:
A local MC who sets his laid-back, revolution-minded flow to club-friendly beats. He also goes by Asun in his crew, Alpha-P. SAYS: A three-piece that’s been playing around Seattle under various monikers, the band finally settled on SAYS and just released an EP of dreamy, synth-spliced rock.
