If you’ve gotten a chance to pick up today’s brand-new Summer Guide issue of Seattle Weekly, you might have noticed that our venerable Karaoke Korrespondent’s column will now appear in print every week, along with its usual appearance right here on Reverb. (This week, our man revisits one of his favorite spots, Fourno’s on the Ave.) Alongside KK’s column, we’re also running a listing of karaoke nights around town–we’re hoping to make it the most comprehensive directory you can find, so: Karaoke bars! Speaking of karaoke, has anyone checked out the Rock Box, that Asian-style karaoke joint across the street from Cal Anderson Park? KK himself gave it rave reviews when he paid a visit back in March; I checked it out for the first time last week to take some pictures for our clubs directory and was highly impressed. The place is in a great location, it’s clean (more than many bars can say), it’s modern (iPads!), and it’s just ideal for parties (private rooms! food!). Since I went in, I’ve been trying to think of a reason to throw a party just so I can hit this place up.And, in a final note, karaoke fanatics should know that as part of this week’s Noise for the Needy festival, one of Seattle’s most popular karaoke spots, the Crescent Lounge, is hosting Karaoke for the Needy tonight at 9 p.m. The event, hosted by Giggles Galore, is sure to be a good time for a great cause.Follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
