I know we’re still a full week away from Mardi Gras, but the ragin’ Cajun inside of me can’t help but start gathering info and making plans now. I just got word from my friend Aarika Walker, who books shows at Nectar, that they’re planning a Fat Tuesday party, February 24, which looks like it’s going to be a great time. They’ve got local jam-funk band, Flowmotion, headlining along with Lazybones, and one of my favorite drummer’s and DJ’s in the city, DJ Million. Million could rock the show by himself and guarantee that everyone has fun. Tickets are only $8 and all of the acts on this bill can keep a crowd entertained. As we hear of more Mardi Gras parties here in Seattle over the next couple of days, we’ll be sure to let you know about them.
