Here’s your weekly music roundup, in one tidy little package we like to call Tunesday.

Our very own Jimi Hendrix is the next subject to be featured in the fantastic PBS series American Masters. The doc titled Jimi Hendrix: Hear My Train A Comin’ will premier nationwide Tuesday, November 5, but you can watch an exclusive screening Saturday, November 2 at EMP at 2:30 p.m. It’s free with museum admission. If you’ll be watching from home, tune in to the best PBS station around, KCTS (but not before you rock the vote: remember, November 5 is Election Day).

Chinook Fest

just released a highlight video from this past summer’s tent-packed event. The three-day fest, held on the banks of the Naches River near Yakima, is an end-of-summer roots music blow out. If you’re not ready to say goodbye to summer, well, this sun-dappled vid might make you a little misty, because next year’s fest takes place September 14-16. Of 2014. Timbrrr! Winter Music Festival

, which takes place January 10th and 11th in Leavenworth (the wisdom here being: if the world gives you snow, make a music festival in it). Organizers just released the lineup which includes Telekinesis, The Lonely Forest, Moondoggies, and more. Tickets went on sale today; get them

In yet more festival news, we recently learned that post-punk band Wire will bring a version of the DRILL Festival they successfully curated in London to Seattle. Artists playing DRILL: Seattle are Helmet, Chastity Belt, Vestals, and Earth. That fest takes place November 21-23 at Neumos, Barboza, and the Croc. Colin Newman of the band explains the concept: “It’s an unpretentious city festival featuring artists from across all genres actively curated by Wire with a lot of input from local, informed media partners (in the case of London, The Quietus; in the case of Seattle, KEXP).” More information is available

made it through last night’s episode of The Voice. (Sorry, just can’t bring myself to watch that show when any combination of Cee Lo, Christina, Blake, and Adam are hosting … which is always.)

Local DJ/producer Spekulation recently co-scored the soundtrack to a short dance film titled Enemy Within, along with other Seattle musicians including Josh Rawlings (who also collaborated with/on Industrial Revelation and Macklemore’s The Heist). It’s pretty neat, and you can check it out

Oh, and re: above video. The Head and the Heart recently rocked the Rammer Jammer, a fictional TV club, with a version “Shake,” the first single from the band’s new album, Let’s Be Still. A little pimpy and weird, if you ask me, but there’s no question the breezy climes of the CW’s Hart of Dixie, are more habitable than the cold, hard Seattle streets. Just let me know when they play
