Grave Babies, Crusher

2/26, Hardly ArtWebsiteDense, noisy, and monochrome, Grave Babies’ debut LP on Hardly Art is exceedingly difficult to listen through, even at just 33 minutes long. But alienation is the band’s M.O., and there are some indelible garage-punk tracks amid the fuzz. Much like last spring’s Gothdammit EP, patience–and repeat listens–pay off.If you can’t wait until next Tuesday to hear the album, the label is holding a prerelease listening party tomorrow night at Linda’s at 9 p.m. There’s also a proper release show this Saturday at Highline.Listen to choice cut “Over and Under Ground” after the jump.
