For the first time since their appearance there in September 2009, Pearl Jam—you remember that’s Eddie Vedder, Mike McCready, Stone Gossand, Jeff Ament, and Matt Cameron—will swing through Seattle and again play the Key Arena late this fall. If you’re up for a road trip, you can catch them in Spokane the week before on November 30.
We hear a new album is forthcoming, but the group’s been pretty cagey about the details. In a recent interview with Guerilla Candy, guitarist Stone Gossard had this to say about it: “It’s almost done and as far as what it sounds like, it sounds like Pearl Jam. You’re going to hear some rock songs and you’re going to hear some quiet songs and you’ll hear some songs in between. That’s all I can really say about it because we aren’t talking about it yet so it doesn’t make much sense for me to say anything.”
We recently reviewed Gossard’s new solo album, Moonlander. Read our review of track “I Need Something Different” here, our album review here, and best of luck scoring some tickets. They go on sale Saturday the 27th at 10 a.m.
