On Friday, March 14, the Oslo finch, the three-toed Canadian titmouse, the rainbow potato fish (from Bora Bora), Randolph’s euglena, the Oaxacan spotted stink bug (no, it doesn’t actually stink!), the gardenback turnip, Erithronium racemosa (a.k.a. Donnegan’s foofoo), the yellow-lipped petunia snake, the Missouri dustworm, and the nearly extinct Promethean boar-hog will all be released into local habitat.

Point of entry: the Fly Pond, Belfair.

Admission to this gala event, co-hosted by the Washington State Audubon Society and renowned naturalist Noam Chomsky, is free to all attendees of the 3/13 Ellen Says No show at the Last Supper Club, paid and guest list alike. (Don’t wash off that hand stamp, as only those with stamps will be admitted.)

The party starts promptly at 7:30 . . . that’s a.m., folks. Don’t drive asleep! Have a strong cuppa joe before you take to the road.
