Did you miss out on getting tickets to see Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen at the Tacoma Dome on October 9? Join the club. I’m still recovering from the shock I got earlier this week when Bieber’s people responded to my email saying that the tour isn’t giving out any press passes, at all. I guess the guy doesn’t exactly need any extra press. A scant few tickets are still available, but the ones you can find are upwards of $100 per. But the Tacoma Dome’s neighbor (the recently honored winner of Seattle Weekly’s Best Place to Meet Single Women), the LeMay America’s Car Museum, is stepping in to save the day by hosting a sweepstakes to give away two tickets to the show. All you have to do is go to the front desk at ACM and state the following phrase: “Justin Bieber drives an electric car.” (Which he actually does). Saturday, October 6 is the last day you can do it. At 1 p.m. that day, KISS 106.1 is going to be on-site at the museum announcing the winner. If you’re a parent sending your kid off to see the Biebs without you, ACM wants to hook you up too. On the evening of the show, the museum will be hosting a Parental Daycare from 5-10 p.m. That means you can drop the kids off and head over to keep busy at ACM until they’re done. Food and drink will be provided by the excellent Pacific Grill. And tickets are just $10. (Also, you can come to this event whether you’re doing the Bieber thing or not). If your child doesn’t need to be supervised and kept from screaming herself into a faint at the Tacoma Dome, Parental Daycare seems to be your best bet.
