David BelisleKinski have long had an affection for scrappy U-District bar the Monkey Pub (this is understandable on many levels, and the jukebox selection of vintage punk rock is at the top of the list). I love that they’ve decided to celebrate their 10-year anniversary with a show there this Saturday. Bands that play the Monkey Pub simply set up on the floor and bash it out, which is always charming, if occasionally messy. Kinski is playing as part of the N.U.D.E (“North University District Experiment”), a homegrown, D.I.Y. festival taking place at the Blue Moon, the Monkey Pub, the Galway Arms, Cafe Race and Lucid. Full schedule information can be found on N.U.D.E.’s MySpace page over here.
