Chris Kornelis is no longer the music editor of Seattle Weekly. Throughout the past seven years, Chris has made major contributions to this paper – bringing tremendous energy and new ideas to both Seattle Weekly’s music coverage and our online editorial product that spurred both local and national conversations about punk, jazz and the music industry as a whole.

But as we move the paper into a new era, it is necessary that some positions and roles change.

In Chris’ place, editor-in-chief Mark Baumgarten will be taking the helm of the music section. Feel free to fill his inbox with your press releases. In the coming weeks we will be hiring a staff writer who will be devoted to covering Seattle nightlife.

Chris has been invited to contribute to the paper in the future. We hope he does.
