Capitol Hill Block Party Announces 2014 Lineup

Every July, roughly 30,000 humans cram into the Pike/Pine corridor to get their faces blown off at Capitol Hill Block Party. Culling a laundry list of national acts and mixing them up with lots of local goodness, the festival packs bands into Neumos and Barboza, as well as a huge outdoor stage on Broadway and an all ages Vera Stage.

While the festival used to put a large chunk of national acts in 21+ venues, this year CHBP has announced it will be expanding the Vera Stage, including national bands Dum Dum Girls, The Julie Ruin, and Robert Delong. From the press release:

“The expanded Vera Stage is a direct result of feedback from Block Party attendees,” said Jason Lajeunesse, the festival’s owner and producer. “For the last couple years, about half of the national acts played the 21 and over Neumos stage, which meant some people missed out on their favorite bands. This year, we’re making the incredible lineup of national acts available to everyone.”

The festival, which takes place over July 25-27, announced its lineup this morning. Three-day tickets are on sale now for $125.
