Black leather and latex rule the night at Baltic Room each Sunday as Resurrection takes over for an evening of dark wave and industrial music. This event series has been around for 14 long years, starting at the Noc Noc and moving over to Baltic after Noc Noc’s closure, making it the city’s longest running goth night. Seattle nightlife staple and veteran bartender, Rita Savoie, breathed new life into the party when attendance went into a lull—transforming it into the the award-winning, high concept event that it is today.
Each week features a rotating array of themes, including circus and sideshow, piercing play and suspension, freeform fetish, and a club kids night, and each centers around collaborations with various local performance crews. This Sunday and all third Sundays going forward will be reserved for Underground Seattle’s Resurrection takeover, which places the focus on fetish acts. This Sunday placed emphasis on futuristic fetish, with visual themes playing on cyborgs, aliens, and robots.
