As myself and many others had speculated, seminal doom metal band Sleep is indeed playing Portland’s MusicfestNW on Saturday, September 11. They’ll be performing their landmark album, Holy Mountain, in its entirety at the Roseland Ballroom. YOB and Scott Kelly (of Neurosis and Shrinebuilder) will open.Other artists slated to appear that are worth getting excited about include Baroness, the Gories, NoMeansNo, and Titus Andronicus. More acts will be announced over the next couple of weeks, but a partial list is available on the MusicfestNW website.
