A man in Salt Lake City named Andrew Hales looked in the mirror one day and realized that he was a guy with closely shaved hair that’s a little long on top.
So, naturally, he put on sunglasses and a leather jacket and went to Macklemore’s concert at the Maverick Center four days ago to see if he could successfully pose as Seattle’s biggest pop star.
It worked. It worked way too well.
People ask him for interviews as fans squeal uncontrollably, mob him, take photos with him, and scramble for autographs. He also manages to get past security by saying, “I’m doing the show. I’m Macklemore.”
