​The Head and the Heart Recruit Chad VanGaalen for New Music Video

Seattle folkies The Head and The Heart kept it in the Sub Pop family with its new music video for “Summertime” from ​Let’s Be Still​. Canada’s lovable lo-fi pop weirdo and fellow Sub Popper, Chad VanGaalen, lent his animation skills to the band for the clip, which finds VanGaalen experimenting with paper cut out animation for the first time. The video features plenty of VanGaalen staples, things like giant mushrooms, vomit, and morphing flora.

​Kairos Release New Single “Dirt & Grit”​

Local omni-present music master Lena Simon (La Luz, Pollens) has released the newest single from her upcoming EP, “Dirt & Grit,” a breezy tune that erupts into a St. Vincent-worthy guitar solo. Kairos’ EP release is on May 19th at the Crocodile with Dude York and Sundries. More details here.
