Your sweet tooth is going to love this one; your love handles, not so much. A new home-delivery service has started in Seattle, but instead of pizza or Thai food, it’s cookies baked to order. Nookies Cookies, owned by dating duo Adam Falcone and Shannon Eagan, started operating a couple of months ago out of rented commercial kitchens. Falcone tells us they occasionally have to rely on the generosity of local restaurants to let them bake a few batches when they need to fill an order quickly.Falcone, who has a manufacturing background, and Eagan, who has a culinary degree, hope to open their own storefront eventually, but in the meantime offer delivery to your door in about an hour and a half, every evening except Sunday. Its delivery area is currently limited to central Seattle (Madrona to Northwest 85th Street), but they’ll make a special arrangement if you need it. Prices range from $25 for a six-pack of ice cream sandwiches to $1.95 for a single cookie. Minimum order is $10.Find restaurant gossip like this plus local food events and great date ideas in our Big Bites e-newsletter, sent out every Tuesday.
