This year’s SIP for SIFF gala and fundraiser is on Saturday, September 28th at the Fremont Foundry. Come out to taste some of Washington’s top wine and food as The Seattle International Film Festival gets ready to celebrate its 40th year. The event will also feature bartender competitions as well as multiple ways to spend your money for a good cause.
Capitol Hill’s hidden gem – The Tin Table hosts a one night special dinner on October 6th to feature Chef Charlie Hutchinson and sous Tony Albanese’s French and Italian culinary skills. The 5-course dinner includes dishes such as Grande Aioli, Crawfish Polenta and Braised Venison using primarily local ingredients for $60/pp or $85/pp with wine pairings. In honor of the transition to colder weather, Chef Adam Buzzalini at Ethan Stowell’s Belltown outpost Tavolata is hosting the monthly Sunday Feast on October 12th featuring on Game Birds. So go watch the game to see the Hawks eat their opponents for lunch and then come dine on game such as Duck, Squab, Pheasant and Quail to celebrate for dinner. The Central Area Block Party is this Saturday at Cherry and 23rd in the Central District featuring live music, art, and of course – food trucks. Live performances start at 2:30 with food from the likes of Emerald City Fish and Chips, Ezell’s, Curb Jumper and more.
Seattle’s 27th Annual Festa Italiana continues September 27th and 28th at the Seattle Center. Come stomp grapes, play bocce, look at fancy cars and have a meatball sandwich or some sausage and peppers at the event.
