Over at RockCreek’s Valentine’s Day dinner, you and your sweetheart will be able to dig into some fine crustaceans with dishes like Oysters Menage a Trois or Whole Fried Crab. RockCreek will also be open for brunch that day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. so you can skip amateur night and spend the evening at home reading 50 Shades of whatever to each other.
In more Valentine’s Day news, both Stoneburner and Bastille celebrate the day with champagne flights and shellfish. Chef Jason Stoneburner has come up with a few specials for the evening including Tuscan Fish Stew and Uova da Ravioli at Stoneburner and Roasted Scallops and Dungeness Crab Salad at Bastille. Pike Place Market standard IL Bistro is hosting a 3 day celebration to commemorate its 40th anniversary on January 27th through the 29th. Live entertainment will be featured each evening and legendary Seattle barkeep Murray Stenson will man the bar each evening. To cap it off, the restaurant will be serving it’s original signature items such as lasagne and cioppino at 1975 prices. To make reservations, call 206-682-3049.
The Wallyhood Blog reports that U District staple Pam’s Kitchen is moving into the high turnover space that has formerly housed Selena’s Guadalajara, Chabela’s, Patty’s Eggnest and Salut Bistro just in the past few years. When Chef/Owner Pam Jacobs was notified that the existing Pam’s Kitchen building was being demolished she found the new space on 45th to serve up her signature Trinidadian food. No word on the opening date has been given but stay tuned.
