Josh Henderson and his Huxley Wallace Collective are on schedule to open their latest venture, Quality Athletics, in time for Seahawks opening season this Thursday reports Eater. The sports bar in Pioneer Square won’t be your typical one; instead it’s equal parts dining room and bar, though on game days, all bar. There’ll be an outdoor patio, a wood-fired grill and a menu and design aesthetic similar to Westward.
The season’s last “Beers Made by Walking” hike will take place on September 10th. Participating brewers are Big Al Brewing, Schilling Cider and Hi-Fi Brewing. Tilth Seattle is having a Harvest Fair on Saturday, September 6th from 10-6 at Meridian Park in Wallingford and needs volunteers to greet guests, man the booth, load and work the children’s garden. There will be goats, cider pressing, mushroom growing tips and more. Sign up to volunteer here.
Volunteer Park’s next Sunday Supper on September 14th is Thai-themed as Ericka Burke teams up with Max Borthwick of Thaifusions and will include items like Spicy stir-fried Thai basil and minced pork with fried egg and Lemongrass and coriander barbeque chicken with a Northern Thai dried chili dipping sauce. The multi-course meal begins at 6 and costs $40 per person (alcohol not included). Other upcoming Sunday suppers occur on October 19th, November 16th and December 7th. Reservations required.
