The Capitol Hill Blog reports that Lionhead will open next door to Poppy in The Confectional space on North Broadway in the Spring of 2015. The restaurant will focus on bringing affordable, traditional Chinese dishes with a signature Traunfeld flair. Hopefully they’ll do takeout at some point as well. Don’t we need a service that brings Chinese takeout by bicycle on the Hill?!Seattle’s Tarik Abdullah will be featured on tonight’s season 4 premier of ABC’s “The Taste” from 8-10 (PST), where he’ll compete for “America’s Best Undiscovered Cook” under the eye of culinary superstars like Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson and Marcus Samuelsson. So who is Abdullah? He’s garnered cult fame for his pop-up brunches at Morningstar Cafe in Hillman City and Midnight Mecca in Pioneer Square that feature things like Coriander pancakes and Vandouvan lamb hash, food inspired by his Muslim upbringing and North African and Mediterranean influences.
