In Seattle Farmers Market news: The King County Public Health Department has proposed to increase permitting fees paid by market vendors by substantial amounts in 2015. The proposed changes for 2015 include between 42% to 264% increases for Temporary Food Permits which vary depending on vendor type. As most people already know, farmers don’t have a lot of extra cash laying around so every bit extra hits the bottom line. And what do Farmers Market vendors get for these extra fees?
