Those of you bummed out about Portalis Wine Bar closing this Sunday will be happy to learn that it will be re-opening at 6754 15th Ave NW near the area that houses The Fat Hen, Delancey and Honore Bakery among others. Come in this Sunday for the final tasting in the ‘old’ location from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and say goodbye with a few glasses of Oregon pinot.

Those fellow lovers on Miles James’ famed Dot’s Charcuterie and Bistrot have been holding out hope for the shuttered upper Fremont spot to re-open with something similar. Well, don’t hold your breath as it was recently announced that Eriko Sugawara, owner of the downtown Seattle Benihana, will be opening a ‘Japanese family comfort food’ space in early 2015 called Suga. The jury will be out in full force on this new incarnation so let’s hope for the best.
