There’s long been rumblings from a member of the famed Von Trapp family, who runs the Trapp Family Lodge in Vermont, so the Seattle Von Trapp’s decided to change their business’s name. After much deliberation they decided on Rhein Haus, as homage to the longest river in Germany. But apart from the name change, the menu and beer offerings will remain untouched.2. Congratulations are in order, yet again, for Reuben’s Brews. This time the brewery won a bunch of superlatives at the 2014 U.S. Beer Tasting Championships. Their Cream Ale was named Best Kolsch/Cream/Blonde in the Pacific Northwest, the Blimey that’s Bitter won Best Imperial IPA in the Pacific Northwest, the Belgian Imperial Rye IPA won Best Belgian IPA in the Pacific Northwest, and the Expat IPA won Honorable Mention for Best IPA in the Pacific Northwest. These latest awards bring Reuben’s count up to approximately six billion. 3. Next week’s Food Truck Food Drive in Bellevue will help raise money for Food Lifeline. From Tuesday, August 19 to Thursday, August 21, food trucks like Skillet and Tokyo Dog will gather in Bellevue, donating $1 from every entree purchased to Food Lifeline.
