1. To celebrate its first birthday in Phinney Ridge, Thaiku is hosting a cocktail happy hour tomorrow from 4:00 pm till midnight. Herb-infused drinks fit for Saint Valentine’s Day will be two dollars off, including the Radiant Flower (Schisandra berry, white peony root and gin tincture, shaken with lemon and mint) which apparently has been known to “boost female radiance and sexual vitality.” Or opt for the limit-one-per-person Yohimbe cocktail shaken with a natural aphrodisiac. Sipping is recommended.
2. Tomorrow night, Capitol Cider presents a completely gluten-free platter for two ($100), three ($135) or four ($160) people including Dungeness Crab & Kale Gratin, Steak Delmonico w/ Maitre d’ Butter and Roasted Lemon Creme Brulee. Call 206-397-3564 for reservations.
3. In addition to a sold out dinner tomorrow evening, Volunteer Park Cafe wraps up its Valentine’s Day pop-up. Curated by chef/owner Ericka Burke, the shop features giftable soaps, candles, Farm Belle Blue Ribbon Jam, Jacobsen Sea Salts and a selection of cheeses, olive oils and vinegars.
4. A reminder that My Sweet Lil Cakes is handing out free hotcakes on a stick tomorrow in Westlake Park.
