1. SoDo distillery 3 Howls nabbed another award this past weekend, bringing home “Best Northwest Gin” for its Navy Strength Gin at the 3rd Annual Ginvitational. They bested more than 25 competitors for the title.

2. Chef John Howie’s SPORT Restaurant & Bar hosts a Kentucky Derby party on Saturday from 1 to 4 PM. The event will feature mint juleps, a derby hat contest, raffles, and other giveaways.

3. Exciting news for Bellevue: the massive Tavern Hall is set to open by July 15. The restaurant will sprawl across 9,500 square feet and will feature shuffleboard, pub fare, and 20 beers on draft, reports Eater Seattle. The project is a collaboration of some pretty big names, including Marc and Bret Chatalas of Cactus and James Weimann and Deming Maclise of Stoneburner, Von Trapp’s, Bastille, Macleod’s, and Poquitos.
