1. Seattle Cider Company has announced a partnership with Wirtz Beverage, which will distribute its cider in Illinois. The SODO-based cidery’s current distribution extends throughout Washington, Oregon, and Alaska.
2. The old Emmer & Rye space on Queen Anne has a confirmed new occupant, according to the Queen Anne View. Nana’s Mexican Restaurant has taken over the space and will open in early August with “traditional Mexican food with accents of American fare. We will be working with family handed down recipes and new food concepts.”
3. A Brooklyn bar owner has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for grand larceny and tax fraud after he scammed at least 100 couples out of their wedding deposits. The amount totaled $1.3 million.
