1. Nikola’s (re)launched in Wallingford. Wallyhood reports that the diner was opened in the former Rusty Pelican spot by Costas Antonopoulos, who owns the building and operated a Nikola’s location in the same space years back. Antonopoulos has rolled out several Greek eateries around the city over the years, including Costa’s Opa on the corner of N 34th & Fremont Ave N. He owned Costa’s Opa for three decades until it was closed in late 2012 and replaced with a Chase bank branch.
2. If you’re planning to kick off the year with a liquid detox, Capitol Hill’s Juicebox offers a guided cleanse. It includes recipes and other motivational stuff from the shop’s resident nutritionist Adrienne Kimberly. More details are online.
