1. Joule and Revel chefs Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi launched Trove this weekend on Capitol Hill. Their ambitious four-in-one restaurant project includes a noodle counter, a parfait window, a bar, and Yang’s version of Korean barbeque. For more information, visit the Trove Facebook page.
2. Josh Henderson’s Quality Athletics opened in Pioneer Square. Henderson’s stylish sports bar comes with a rooftop garden, gussied-up sports bar fare, and plenty of flat screens for watching the game.
3. Reuben’s Brews is taste-testing their Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout, which is set for a November release. According to Facebook, the beer has “rich chocolate, cherry, vanilla notes wrapped in a smooth imperial stout base.”
4. The Atlantic has a fascinating look at the Red Delicious, and how “the worst apple took over the United States.” Despite being wholly unlikeable, the Red Delicious continues its reign.
