1. Interbay is getting a brewery! Holy Mountain brewery is currently in the construction stage at 1421 Elliott Ave W, reports Seattle Beer News. The project is a three years in the making from owners Adam Paysse, Colin Lenfesty, and Mike Murphy. The trio is planning to stray a bit from the typical Northwest microbrewery line up, with lots of seasonal beers, saisons, and “an extensive sour program.” Distribution get going at the end of July and the taproom should be open in August.
2. Wild Ginger announced that Nile Park will make his return as general manager of Wild Ginger Seattle. Park managed Wild Ginger from 1993 to 1999, a tenure that saw his restaurant earn a 1997 James Beard Award for Best Chef of the Northwest.
3. This Saturday, Two Beers Brewing and Seattle Cider Company are throwing a party to celebrate the release of two new beverages. Two Beers Brewing is releasing the second beer of the year in its Alta Series, The Ascension Triple IPA, which is a whopping 12 percent ABV. And Seattle Cider Company has come out with the first of their new Washington Heirloom ciders, which will be available only once a year. The party runs from 1 to 10pm at The Woods tasting room. Food truck How Pickle Got Out of a Jam will be on site from 1 to 6.
4. Jimmy Kimmel is fed up with the rise of gluten-free eaters. He sent a camera crew to the streets of Los Angeles to find out if any of these dieters knew could define gluten; the results are surprisingly unsurprising.
