1. Ethan Stowell’s Tavolata has announced dates and themes for its remaining 2014 Sunday Feasts. The restaurant’s June 1 dinner from Chef Brian Clevenger will involve asparagus, pea vines, and rhubarb crostata. Other dinners this year will include such themes as Sicilian Supper (July 6); Local Salmon (August 3); Cuisine of the Mediterranean (September 7); Duck, Squab, and Quail (October 12); Braised Meats (November 2); and Lobster (December 7). The exclusive dinners are limited to 26 guests and often sell out; call 206.838.8008 to reserve a spot.

2. 3 Howls is preparing to release its newest spirit, a rye whiskey. Whiskey fans can join 3 Howls for a release party at The Whiskey Bar in Belltown on May 29 at 5 p.m. for cocktails, giveaways, and a chance to meet the distillers.

3. The long vacant spot of the former Emmer & Rye restaurant on Queen Anne will soon be the home of a new Mexican restaurant. The Queen Anne View has done some impressive sleuthing to arrive at that information.

4.A group of Lebanon, Tenn. Teenagers are facing criminal charges for their involvement in a food fight. The group pitched salsa and eggs at each other on the school cafeteria’s Taco Day—and the local sherrif is bringing down the hammer.
