2. Capitol Hill is getting a new brewery next year. Husband-and-wife team Gay Gilmore and Troy Hakala will open Optimism Brewing in the Great Western Motors building at Broadway and Union, reports Puget Sound Business Journal.
3. Seattle Beer Week is less than a month away, and a full list of events is up on the official website. Highlights include Nanobrewery Night at Naked City, Sour Fest at Brouwer’s, and Caturday—complete with visits from local celebricats—at Chuck’s 85th.
